Kristyn Densmore-Smith, Executive Director
Kristyn Densmore-Smith received her BA in History from Alice Lloyd College and continued her educational goals at the Appalachian School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate (JD). During her time at law school she had her first encounter with CASA. She became a volunteer herself in 2017 and was a volunteer until 2019. She began practicing law in 2020 full time and then in 2022 became the Executive Director of CASA of the Appalachian Mountains.
Born in North Carolina but raised in Montgomery County Kentucky, she now calls Perry County home. She resides in Chavies, Kentucky with her husband and the neighborhood cat, Oliver. Her favorite things are spending time with family and friends, reading and playing video games.

Kayla Bryant, Volunteer Coordinator
Kayla received her Bachelors degree in Sociology at Morehead State University. Kayla is most excited about gaining the ability to work one on one with members of our community to help the children who are in need.
Kayla is a Perry County native, growing up in Viper, Kentucky. She is married to her high school sweet heart Corey and they share a variety of animals amongst themselves. She enjoys traveling, reading, arts and crafts, photography and most of all spending time with her family.

LaFarrah Little, Volunteer Coordinator
LaFarrah received her Bachelor's Degree in human services and management from University of Phoenix. She believes the most exciting part of her job is having the ability to help those who can't help themselves. She has always had a desire to work with children and is glad that she has the opportunity.
LaFarrah has six and half years of experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field. She is married to her best friend Eplin and is the mother of two wonderful boys. She has a variety of hobbies which includes painting and playing computer games.

Sarah Moorefield, Community Engagement & Development Specialist
Sarah is a graduate from Alice Lloyd College with a Bachelor's degree in K-5 General Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education LBD. She holds CASA’s mission close to her heart and wants to bring attention to the difference this program can make in the lives of our local children. She believes that every child deserves to have a voice and it is our responsibility to make sure that voice is heard.
Sarah is a Perry County native. She grew up as a resident of Hazard. She lives with her husband and two dogs. She is a Disney adult. In her free time she enjoys reading, playing video games, and traveling.
